Vacation on our alpine pasture

Surrounded by larch pastures with our grazing Galloway cattle, flowering alpine meadows and mighty forests, our house is located in the middle of the sunny Windlegern alpine pasture area on the Neukirchner Kollmannsberg at an altitude of 826m above sea level, away from the noise and hustle and bustle.

The unobstructed view of Lake Traunsee and Traunstein allows you to take a deep breath and invites you to switch off and enjoy. Numerous hiking trails lead directly from the house to the most beautiful destinations in the Salzkammergut, for example via the “WWW Windlegernweg”, a forest theme trail for families, you can hike comfortably to Neukirchen.

In our very personally managed hotel, we are happy to look after our guests ourselves. We are on hand to help you choose and plan the right hikes for you, with tips on traditions and excursions in the Salzkammergut or with adventure tours through the nature park.

Activities

The location of our guesthouse is the perfect starting point for your planned activities here with us in the Salzkammergut. Every season has its own charms, both scenic and cultural. For hiking enthusiasts, we are the perfect base camp for tours through the Attersee-Traunsee Nature Park and into the Höllengebirge mountains.

Many hiking trails start or end on our doorstep and some of the most beautiful sights in the region can be reached within a very short time from our Alm.

If you would like to gain an insight into the rural life and working world of our ancestors around 1900, the Viechtau Heritage House in Neukirchen is highly recommended. An original Viechtau house, probably built between the 12th and 14th centuries, in which there are all sorts of interesting things to see and discover.

The Traunsee-Almtal vacation region offers leisure activities for all ages. From water sports to golf vacations (8 courses within 15 to 45 minutes) to skiing fun for the whole family on the Hochlecken, Feuerkogel or Kasberg.

Whether you’re looking for an active or cultural vacation, your hosts will be happy to help you plan your day.

During the season from May to October,

we offer our guests dinner three days a week.
